Vollrath Pujadas, a centuries-old company dedicated to the manufacture of tableware and professional equipment for the Food Service channel located in Santa Coloma de Farners (Girona), has asked the Savia Group to design, manufacture and set up an installation for the automatic packing and palletizing of its gastronorm buckets.
In this project, the bags that are currently placed individually in each of the buckets for ecological reasons have been replaced by an HM dosing system that applies a small amount of glue to the ends of these, in order to prevent them from being scratched.
The large difference in size and weight between the smallest and the largest buckets made it extremely difficult to manufacture such a versatile forming/closing machine, so it was decided to incorporate a robot designed to form and feed boxes to the system.
